Rare earth magnets
Neodymium and samarium magnets represent the latest generation in magnetic materials.
The properties of these magnets are much superior to the traditional ones. Their high coercivity and remanence allow new designs to be created. There is a wide range of qualities. The use of these magnets depends especially on the temperature: we have a wide range between 80ºC and 180ºC in Neodymium (ND) quality, and between 200ºC and 350ºC in Samarium (Sm) quality.
The corrosion factor is also very important, especially in Neodymium quality materials. In order to avoid oxidation problems, we coat the magnets. This coating may vary depending on the customers needs. Samarium magnets offer no oxidation problem.
